Region of Colli Tortonesi

In a hilly strip of land in the province of Alessandria, east of the town of Tortona, we find the wine region of Colli Tortonesi, which includes 30 municipalities.

Until now, Colli Tortonesi was best known for its Barbera grape, but in the last 10 years especially the white grape Timorasso has enjoyed a renaissance, achieving an almost cult-like status among its followers.

In total there are 23 different wines under Colli Tortonesi DOC, so plenty of opportunities for wine lovers. As for the grapes, many local and international varieties grow in the vineyards.
